neighborhood of houses

The Fair Housing Foundation is hosting a free workshop to educate and help residents navigate housing issues.

The Fair Housing Workshop is from 2-4 pm Wednesday, March 26 at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.

This workshop will focus on how residents are protected under fair housing laws, what their rights and responsibilities as tenants and landlords are and how to deal with tenant and landlord disputes. The Fair Housing Foundation will explain state and federal fair housing laws, protected classes, notices, security deposits, rent increases, the Tenant Relief Act, and more.

The Fair Housing Foundation is contracted by the City of Mission Viejo and receives funds through the Community Development Block Grants. The foundation educates the public about fair housing rights and responsibilities through workshops, trainings and community events.

The foundation provides mediation and counseling services through its housing assistance hotline 1-800-446-FAIR (3247) and walk-in clinics. For more information, visit FHFCA.org.
