The City Council on Tuesday approved a traffic improvement project, popular festival and recognized outstanding athletes.
The Council voted unanimously to award an agreement for the Marguerite Parkway traffic signal synchronization project. Traffic signal synchronization offers benefits such as reduced travel times, decreased fuel consumption, and lower pollutant emissions by allowing large groups of vehicles to pass through multiple intersections with fewer stops.

Registered voters in Mission Viejo have several voting options they can use to cast their ballots for the 2025 Statewide Special Election on Tuesday, November 4, which features a single ballot measure, Proposition 50.
Voters can return their ballot by mail or at one of the countywide Ballot Drop Boxes or an Orange County Vote Center. Voters can also cast a ballot in person at a Vote Center. Learn more about Proposition 50 – Congressional redistricting in the Voter Information Guide.

The City Council on Tuesday celebrated the City’s photo contest and recognized a milestone anniversary of a local nonprofit organization, among other business.
In honor of the City’s recent photo contest, a video of the entries received played, and Mayor Bob Ruesch announced his favorite photo and winner of the gift bag.
