The City Council on Tuesday, October 22 will consider City budget adjustments as well as receive updates about economic and fiscal trends in Mission Viejo, among other business.

The business portion of the meeting starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

The Council will consider the City’s Fiscal Year 2023/24 Close Out Report and Fiscal Year 2024/25 Budget Adjustments for certain revenue and expenditure accounts.

Council Members will also receive an update on recent efforts of the California Sober Living and Recovery Task Force as well as the results of a 2023/24 study of economic and fiscal trends in Mission Viejo.

During the presentation portion of the meeting, the Council will proclaim October 20-26 as Friends of Libraries Week. Since our library opened in 1997, the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library has raised more than $3 million to provide resources for library materials; the summer reading program; Writers Present series; and other programs and special events throughout the year.
