Council recognized heroism and discussed proposed 2025-27 budget Tuesday

The City Council on Tuesday recognized two area residents who helped to save the lives of a couple trapped inside a burning car.
Caden Bunge and Hudson Moline were honored for their recent bravery and quick-thinking in rescuing a couple from a vehicle engulfed in flames.
The Council also hosted Mission Viejo’s FY 2025-27 budget workshop. The proposed budget, which is balanced, is a $197.1 million bundle of services, programs and projects for the benefit of Mission Viejo residents and businesses and provides for essential service levels and programs with $18 million in funding included for capital improvements. Council Members reviewed and discussed the proposed budget and will consider adopting it at their June 24 meeting.
The City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings are streamed live on the City's website and air on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. Residents are encouraged to sign up for the City's eNewsletter and follow the City's official social media sites for the most accurate, up-to-date information.
