Council will recognize top 2024 employees and begin budget discussions Jan. 28

Council Meeting Update

The Council on Tuesday, January 28 will recognize the 2024 Employees of the Year as well as begin discussions on the City’s budget for the next two fiscal years.

The business portion of the meeting starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.

Council Members will recognize the 2024 Employees of the Year for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the Orange County Fire Authority and the City of Mission Viejo.

In other business, Council Members will hold a 2025-2027 Pre-Budget Discussion to commence work on the two-year budget for the next two fiscal years.

A check generated from funds raised at the 4th Annual Konrad Reuland Charity Tennis/Pickleball Tournament will be presented to Big Brothers Big Sisters, which provides resources and mentorship to disadvantaged youths with aspirations of going to college and pursuing their dreams. Registration is now open for the 5th Annual Tournament in March.

The final presentation of the night is in honor of the 30th anniversary of Orange County’s Trauma Intervention Program.
