Get around town for FREE aboard the MV Shuttle

mv shuttle

You can enjoy much of what Mission Viejo offers without the high cost of gas or driving hassles.

From the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink train station to Lake Mission Viejo and many places in between, the MV Shuttle gets you where you want to go for FREE. Take advantage of this convenient shuttle service to reach The Shops at Mission Viejo, Mission Hospital, Saddleback College, Capistrano Valley High School, the Norman P. Murray Community Center, City Hall/Library, YMCA/Marguerite Aquatics/Tennis Pavilion, and other locations. The shuttle is perfect for everyone – from businesspeople, students and seniors to volunteers and others looking for a free and convenient way to get around town.

In addition, there is also roundtrip service for Mission Viejo High School (called the Tripper Route), which follows a special school route before returning to regular service at City Hall/Library.

Shuttles run regularly from about 6:30 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday (except holidays) from August 19 to June 5. MV Shuttle stops are marked with colorful signs.

The MV Shuttle provides Mission Viejo residents with a beneficial transportation alternative. The shuttles are smaller than typical transit buses and run on compressed natural gas (CNG), producing far fewer emissions than conventionally powered vehicles.

For more information, see the map route and track shuttles in real-time at this link or by downloading the Ride Systems app, available on Google Play and Apple.

Thank you for your comment on the News page and interest in the MV Shuttle. Yes, you are correct. The earliest route between the Library and the Shops is the 11:27 am departure toward the Metrolink Station and continues northbound with a 12:18 pm drop-off at the Shops.

From the map it seems that the earliest I can get to the Shops mall is 2:15 if I leave from the library. Otherwise I have to go to the Metrolink station to get to the shops earlier. Is that correct?

Thank you for your kind words about the Shuttle! The MV Shuttle only operates within Mission Viejo, but no proof of MV residency is required to ride so you are welcome to board.

Thank you for your comment on the News page and interest in the MV Shuttle. Page 3 of the map linked in the article and as follows depicts that Shuttle stop number 22 is for Marguerite/Trabuco and 23 is for Marguerite/Casta del Sol when travelling northbound, and Shuttle stop number 7 is for Marguerite/Casta del Sol and 9 is for Marguerite/Trabuco when travelling southbound. These stops are placed a short distance from the entrances of the facilities noted in your comment.

You mention being able to get to YMCA/Marguerite Aquatics/Tennis Pavilion, but there doesn't appear to be a stop for this location on your maps. Please update your write up or the maps with the correct information. Thank you.
