Incredible, moving exhibits on display at City facilities

2025 exhibits

Next time you visit the Mission Viejo Library, Potocki Center for the Arts and Norman P. Murray Community Center, check out impressive, meaningful works of art.

Over at the Mission Viejo Library, the “Ordinary Voices, Extraordinary Impact” exhibit in the north wing invites viewers to contemplate the importance of civil liberties through images and letters from the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.

Paintings by French artist Ramine deBrest are on display in the library’s south wing. Exploring maritime themes with a vibrant art deco aesthetic, Ramine creates mixed-media acrylic paintings on vintage nautical charts.  His work has been displayed internationally.

In addition, don’t miss the displays of handmade silver jewelry by Adriana Brown and the Library Staff Art Showcase in the exhibit cases.

When you visit the Norman P. Murray Center, view Saddleback Art League’s “Artwork in the Halls” exhibit that includes artwork in a variety of media and themes ranging from landscapes to portraits.

The Potocki Center of the Arts is featuring a vibrant display of drawings, paintings, and mixed-media pieces by the Association of Designers and Artists. This local student-led organization works to provide meaningful experiences for high school artists. Their emotionally stirring exhibit reflects themes of youth, culture, and family.

These exhibits run through late January. For more information, contact arts@cityofmissionviejo.org.
