Mission Viejo community unites to support LA wildfire victims

The Mission Viejo community continues to come together by donating more than three truck-loads of bottled water, non-perishable food, clothing, hygiene products, pet supplies, first aid kits and more at the Mission Viejo Farmers Market last Saturday. This follows donations of several hundred cases and gallons of bottled water made to the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center last week to benefit the Pasadena Humane Society and displaced animals in the fires. The City is extremely grateful to the community for its generosity and kindness during this difficult time.
With an incredible amount of donations, we are not able to accept any further items at this time.
If you can, please consider monetary donations to the groups that are best set up to serve the those impacted.

As many of the Los Angeles…
As many of the Los Angeles fire victims are coming to Orange County, the council should consider waiving the City’s bed tax for 90 days for them.
Another donation can be made…
Another donation can be made to World Central Kitchen. They are on the ground in LA providing meals to fire fighters and evacuees.

Greetings
I drove over from Arizona and am trying to find a place to donate brand new towels I purchased with tags on them, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, hand sanitizers, new baby clothing and toys, and blankets.
Please advise I am in Mission Viejo staying in a hotel and really would like to deliver what I purchased to help.
GOD BLESS!
Thank you for your comment…
Thank you for your comment on the City’s News page and your desire to help the LA wildfire victims. The City has not scheduled another donation collection at the Mission Viejo Farmers Market as an incredible amount of donations were received on January 11.
The City has not been informed of any specific donation events in Mission Viejo, however the Mercy Warehouse (949-910-0024, info@mercywarehouse.com) has notified us that they will be dropping off donations in LA on January 25 and that they are still taking donations.
