Mission Viejo gearing up for Multi-Sport Festival, road closures April 27

With hundreds of athletes taking part in the annual Orange County Multi-Sport Festival (formerly OC Triathlon) on Sunday, April 27, the City is alerting residents to be aware of road closures in place.

This Olympic-distance event traverses Mission Viejo neighborhoods and surrounding communities and includes swim competitions in Lake Mission Viejo. The events include an Olympic triathlon; sprint triathlon; duathlon relay; aquabike; splash and dash; and a 5K. 

Residents should be aware of the following road closures on April 27:

  • Marguerite Parkway: Mustang Run to El Toro from 5 - 9 am
  • Marguerite Parkway: Vista del Lago to Mustang Run from 5 - 11 am
  • Los Alisos Blvd: Vista Del Lago to Mustang Run from 5 - 11 am
  • Olympiad Road: Melinda to Marguerite from 5 am – 11 am

Note: Melinda Road entrance to Lake Mission Viejo will remain open to athletes and lake members only. Vista del Lago will remain open. Additional intersections may incur delays.
