Nominees sought for Wall of Recognition

The City is accepting nominations for its annual Community Services Wall of Recognition program, which was created to recognize individuals who have contributed extraordinary, lasting and significant service to the community.
The nominee must be a resident of Mission Viejo. His or her service to the community must have been performed in Mission Viejo or can be adequately demonstrated to have directly benefited the City. Nominations can be submitted by the nominee’s family, community member, local official or a nonprofit organization or business. Nominations must be signed by at least 20 people whose primary residences are in town.
Nominations are due by noon Friday, February 28 to Julie Zanio at the Norman P. Murray Community Services 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92691. Applications are available online at cityofmissionviejo.org.
Honorees will be chosen by a selection committee that will make a recommendation to Community Service Commission. The City Council will consider the commission’s final nominations and recognize recipients at a special presentation. The name of the honorees and their contributions will be etched on the Wall of Recognition plaque at the City’s Norman P. Murray Community Center.
