Watch videos of adoptable animals on Mission Viejo Animal Services’ new Instagram profile

To help animals at Mission Viejo Animal Services Center (MVAS) get adopted faster, the City’s Community Relations Department created a new MVAS Instagram profile.

The new profile - @missionviejoanimalservices - is a dedicated space for users to view videos of animals available for adoption at the center. A QR code is posted outside of the kennels so visitors can view on their mobile device. Potential adopters often visit while the animals are sleeping, so this initiative will help them understand how the animal normally behaves. City staff hopes this effort will help animals get adopted quicker by users liking, sharing and engaging with the content in addition to the in-person visitors.

The City will continue to post MVAS news, animal control stories, important updates, featured pets, promotions and more on the City’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, Nextdoor, BlueSky and award-winning YouTube channel. Folks should continue to contact the center directly with any animal-related questions at 949-470-3045 or visit cmvas.org.

Follow @missionviejoanimalservices and help us share the many animals who are waiting for their forever homes!
