Active Shooter Preparedness and Prevention Presentation set for Jan. 15
To better prepare the community, Mission Viejo Police Services is hosting a free Active Shooter Preparedness and Prevention program on Wednesday, January 15 from 6:30-8 pm at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
As part of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Stay Safe OC Crime and Safety Education campaign, the public presentation will focus on what to do in the event of an active shooter; and how to spot and report someone escalating toward violence.
Active shooter incidents are a major public safety concern that can occur at anytime and anywhere. Planning for such an event is essential to survival.

Thank you for hosting this very informative event. I went to high school in mission viejo and live in lake forest but my mom still resides in the city. We have gone to a few of the cities informative events and appreciate the open dialogue and continued communication. A great example of a city doing right by their community. Thank you.
