The report included commercial development projects newly approved by the Planning and Transportation Commission and new businesses that have recently opened in Mission Viejo.

The Council on Tuesday, March 11 will receive a report about new commercial development proposals as well as an update on State and federal grants to help fund important City projects.
The meeting starts at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
City staff will give the Council an update about new commercial development proposals and business activity in the City as well as staff’s proactive efforts in applying and securing state and federal grants for important projects.

The City Council on Tuesday awarded a contract for a park rehabilitation project and received updates on the La Paz Bridge and Roadway Widening project.
Council Members unanimously awarded a contract for a Crucero Park Play Area Rehabilitation project. The same contractor previously worked on a successful park play area renovation project at Madrid Fore Park.

The City Council on Tuesday recognized top employees of 2024 as well as began discussions on the City’s budget for the next two fiscal years.
The public received essential reports during Tuesday’s Council meeting regarding wildfire readiness from OCSD Chief of Police Jason Ivins, OCFA Chief Cheyne Maule, City of Mission Viejo Emergency Operations Manager Paul Catsimanes, and Saundra Jacobs and Frank Ury of the Santa Margarita Water District.
