Police Services is committed to maintaining our safe environment while partnering with the community to keep a constant proactive approach to fighting crime. There are several crime prevention programs available to residents of all ages and businesses free of charge. Police Services encourages you to participate in these programs and help preserve the quality of life in Mission Viejo. Please explore the menu to the left for more information.
In the event of an emergency or to report a crime in progress dial 9-1-1. To report suspicious activity or to report that you have been a victim of a crime contact our 24-hour non-emergency line at (949) 770-6011 and select the option for "Sheriff's dispatch."
To contact the Crime Prevention Unit's front desk, dial (949) 470-8433. *Volunteers operate this non-emergency desk line for general Police Services and program information. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. An answering machine is available in the event the volunteer is busy or for after hours calls. Messages are answered within 24 business hours.
